32GB MicroSD for AT&T Fusion Smartphone

I ordered 2nd AT&T Fusion smartphone GoPhone for my wife and she is ok with it. I showed her that she can play "Angry Bird" game on her phone but she found that game to be boring. However, she wanted to watch movie on her phone instead of her mini 8GB IPod. The GoPhone comes with 2GB MicroSD and that is not enough for her movies. So I need to buy bigger MicroSD for our smartphones.

Coincidently, I noticed 1saleaday.com had a great deal on bunch of MicroSD cards. So I purchased 2 SanDisk 32GB MicroSD for our Fusion smartphone. This SanDisk 32GB MicroSD is class 4 and from what I researched, it seems class 4 is enough for watching movies directly off SD.





Here are some other things I learned from my MicroSD purchase:

• MicroSD is same physical size as MicroSDHC.
• For larger memory size, MicroSD become MicroSDHC (where HC mean high capacity)
• Class represents minimum write speed.
• Read speed is expected to be same as write speed
• class 2 : speed 2MB/s
• class 4 : speed 4MB/s
• class 6 : speed 6MB/s
• class 10 : speed 10MB/s
• The high class MicroSD is mostly required by the DSLR camera but for typical smartphone and tablets, class 4 should be enough.

Junji Ito's Gyo (Zombie Walking Fish) Anime

Over the weekend, I was watching a little documentary about the poison inside the blowfish. The typical information about how dangerous it is and how the poison works. After the documentary, I decided to watch a Japanese horror animation, Gyo. Gyo means fish. From what other reviewers wrote, it seems the animation does not follow the manga that closely. But I did not feel like reading manga, so I watched the anime movie, Gyo.



It was very interesting how fishes became a zombie-like creature and started to walk around. My wife was laughing so hard while we watch this anime. However, after the movie, she thought we wasted our time. I don't agree with her that this anime is a waste of time. We had a good laugh and I think that's good time spend if we have a good time.



Overall, I think the anime was not scary as it wanted, and somehow it became funny as it tried hard to be scary. Seriously, it is hard to be scared if the monsters are mutant zombie fish with bio-mechanical legs powered by farts. This anime is about 70 minute long and not appropriate for children due to language and adult content.

Real life Obiwan Kenobi is Evil!

I saw a hit-and-run news involving Yoda. It is not funny matter but it became funny due to the name. This is a real like Obiwan Kenobi. He was born Benjamin Cale Feit, but he changed his name to Obiwan Kenobi as part of 1999 radio station contest. He is not good like the Yoda from Star Wars. The real like Obiwan Kenobi is Evil. He is allegedly responsible for a five-car accident and is charged with a hit-and-run on 04/26/2012.

Western Bacon Cheeseburger from Carl's Jr

Today's lunch was very manly burger. I got a western bacon cheeseburger from Carl's Jr. It comes with 2 pieces of bacon, American cheese, beef patty and couple of onion rings and BBQ sauce on a sesame seed bun.

This burger will sit inside your stomach the whole day so you will not feel hungry till the supper. I did not get any sweets or fries since the burger already comes with onion rings inside. If you want some juicy tomato or lettuce, then this burger is not for you!

This burger is not what you consider a "healthy" choice but I forgave myself since I went to my yoga class before the lunch.

Mobile data plans are over priced!

Verizon and AT&T reported their earnings recently and their earning reports show that they made a lot of money from the mobile data plans. According to recent Cisco study, the average amount of data used per smartphone last year was 150MB. However, many customers are paying  for 2GB, 3GB or 5GB data plan when they don't use this much data plans.

I had to purchase 50MB data plan for $5 but it is better than paying $20 or $30 for AT&T's data plan for non-GoPhone plan. Also, many times I end up using Wi-Fi, so I don't need these data plans anyway.
